Great Moss wild camp

I nipped out for a quick hike and wild camp into Great Moss on friday afternoon. Pleased to report that the Berghaus Verden 65+10 performed exceedingly well! Dry weight was about 9kg and I barely noticed the pack at all. OK, it’s not much fun for any kind of scrambling but that’s not what it’s really designed for. I’ll certainly be sticking with this one for backpacking and keeping the POD Black Ice for more ‘climby’ stuff.

The weather was pretty wet and miserable but I did manage a new ‘Wainwright‘ in the shape of Hard Knott! About 7km in 3hrs (not rushing it, you see!).
